Hotel Breakers

  • Along the famous Cedar Point beach, only a brief two minute walk away from the park, is the beautiful, full of history, Hotel Breakers. The hotel first opened during the golden age of Cedar Point in 1905. It has since been expanded many times over and includes over 500 rooms but still contains its classic look with its historical rotunda.

  • Being that the hotel began over a hundred years ago, there are parts of the hotel that may seem a bit dated. This is being worked on for the 2014 season, Hotel Breakers, when finished, will have a refreshed exterior, making the hotel look new again from the outside. At the start of the 2015 season, the interior of Hotel Breakers will be completely redone although classic features of the hotel like the rotunda will remain to keep its historical look.

  • There are many places to eat and shop within the Hotel Breakers including two gift shops and five restaurants. There is a Perkins Family Restaurant, Japanese Tomo Hibachi, TGI Friday’s, a poolside deli, and an outside ice cream parlor. You may also eat at any of the places whether or not you are staying at the hotel.

  • There is lots to do including access to a small arcade, two outdoor swimming pools, one indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, and of course the beautiful sandy beach complete with lawn chairs and volleyball.

  • Since the hotel is along the beach, you will pay a premium for the view and easy access to the park.

  • Prices begin at $139 before tax for a simple two double bed room and go up from there based on size of room, ammonites, and beachfront view. Keep in mind that a stay during Halloweekends is more expensive than a stay during the summer.
