New for 2014

There are so many changes going on at the Point this year, even the most seasoned Cedar Point guru may have not caught them all! Here’s a checklist of everything we have noticed, have we missed anything?

  • The Gemini Midway has been completely redone from the ground up, literally! No more yucky blacktop! There is now pavement for your walking needs and pretty lighting above you all lit up at night!
  • Pipe Scream! Cedar Point’s 17th current rollercoaster at the park will take you spinning down a track reaching speeds of 43 miles per hour!
  • Lake Erie Eagles is a new family ride at the park that is a true classic to fair goers everywhere. Known as a flying carriage type ride, you can control your flight using a paddle and make your carriage go up and down.
  • Monster has been repainted with a new color scheme!
  • SlingShot, a pay per ride, will sling you into the air 360 feet reaching speeds of 62 miles per hour! This will be the second highest you can be on a ride in the park, only second to Top Thrill Dragster!
  • Rock, Spin, and Turn, Bumper Boats, and Space Age have been demolished to make room for Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles.
  • The Frog Hopper ride, formerly on the Gemini Midway has been relocated to Camp Snoopy, re-themed, and renamed Woodstock’s Airmail.
