FEBRUARY 19, 2013 AT 6:04 PM

On April 27th of 2013, Kings Island will be hosting the most colorful Opening Day in the parks history!

Kings Island’s 364-acre amusement and waterpark will play host to the inaugural Komen Color Me Pink 5k Walk/Run to raise money and awareness for  the fight against breast cancer.

The event will cover a 3.1 mile course around the park that will give participants behind-the-scene views of popular attractions such as Diamondback and the K.I. & Miami Valley railroad. Throughout The Komen Color Me Pink 5k, participants will be doused in color as they make their way through the course.

There isn’t any other walk or run in the region that offers the same amount of fun and excitement of The Komen Color Me Pink 5k at Kings Island. The event isn’t about winning the race, being fast or even being completely athletic. What The Komen Color Me Pink 5k is about is having insane pink fun with family, friends and others while making an impact on the fight against breast cancer.

Registration for the event is $54.99 per person ages 11 and up and $24.99 for ages 3 to 10. If you are a park season passholder, the regsitration is $34.99 for ages 11 and up and $4.99 for ages 3-10.
