Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper is the tallest, fastest, and longest wing roller coaster in the world! Gatekeeper is Cedar Point’s front gate guardian!

Guests can take flight when they board the Gatekeeper trains, climb the 170 feet lift hill, do a wing-over drop, then pass the 2 minute and 20 second adrenaline filled course.

Guests fly through turns and rolls as they approach the park’s main entrance. The trains on Gatekeeper “thread” the riders through the two keyholes on the giant towers of the front gate.

Gatekeeper World Records:

  1. Longest wing coaster at 4,164 feet
  2. Fastest non-launched wing coaster at 67 mph
  3. Tallest inversion on any roller coaster at 170 feet
  4. Longest drop on a wing coaster at 164 feet
  5. Most inversions on a wing coaster having 6
  6. Most roller coaster track at one park at 56,702 feet
  7. Most rides anywhere in the world with 68 at Cedar Point

Fun Facts About Gatekeeper:

  • More than 12 million pounds of concrete used for construction
  • A piece of track weighs around 7,500 pounds
  • Each keyhole (made of two pieces) weighs 130,000 pounds

You have the opportunity to take flight, but the question is…
Which side will you ride?
